DUCKDUCKGO HEAVILY CRITICIZES GOOGLE’S SEARCH PRACTICES

After the European Union had fined Google a mind-blowing sum of $5 billion for antitrust violations, the leading search engine came across another trap. Search engine DuckDuckGo expressed its worries as for Google’s suspicious search practices.

On Twitter, the company openly backed the EU’s recent clampdown on the high tech giant’s anti-competitive search behavior. Because of it, DuckDuckGo is struggling to obtain a larger market share on iOS and Android devices.

Until 2017, it was unreal to add DuckDuckGo to the popular browser Chrome on Android devices, and it’s still impossible to the same on iOS. Unlike Safari, DuckDuckGo isn’t inserted in the default list of search features, in spite of the fact it’s one of the most popular search engines in the world.

On the vast majority of Android builds exactly the search widget from Google can be found. Unfortunately, one can’t have the search provider changed.
