This morning Google’s John Mueller told in another video guide that the number one search engine’s algorithms generally neglect more links discovered in press releases. Mueller told that the key search engine automatically neglects these links due to the fact as a rule the press releases are from the company’s themselves, so they aren’t natural links indeed. As a result, Google doesn’t pay attention to such links.
John Mueller added that the links can hardly hurt webmasters. On the other hand, they’re nearly useless in many regards.
Previously, the leading search engine told that press release links need to be nofollowed due to the fact they aren’t natural. After this Matt Cutts told that these links can’t be useful to webmasters.
Accordingly, if you’re flooded with press release links, you aren’t endangered, unless you start spamming with them.
